A sprawling estate containing a pond, private stables and an apple orchard in addition to other scenic views make Manor de Vertot the picture-perfect holiday retreat, combining historic architecture with luxurious interior furnishings. The house is classified as a historic monument and, with its Second Renaissance influence, remains one of the most beautiful examples of 16th century Norman architecture.
So many activities are available upon the property itself and in its 13-hectare garden: Besides the beautiful ponies and equestrian trails around the estate, there are also mountain bikes provided, and many walking and hiking paths. You’ll also have a private tennis court with sports equipment, and plenty of fishing beckons in the lake near the beech trees (no permit needed).
The mansion is centrally heated, and has a beautiful indoor fireplace as well. Wireless internet is available at no additional charge throughout, and a high-definition sound system as well as flat-screen satellite TV with DVD/Blu-Ray player are also available for your enjoyment.
The sophisticated kitchen is equipped with every modern amenity imaginable, from stove, fridge, freezer and dishwasher to coffee machine, and there is more than enough dining space, with 15 seats available in addition to seating outdoors, along with the outdoor barbecue (cooking services are offered by the owner in addition to housekeeping, should you desire – contact host for details).
Three of the spacious bedrooms hold a double bed and ensuite with a bath or shower and WC, while the fourth and final bedroom has two single beds. A baby cot is also available upon request, and there is an additional shared WC. A washing machine, dryer, and ironing table/iron have been provided for your convenience.
End cleaning, linen and towels are all included in the rental price.
Private parking is available. Smoking is allowed, but outside only, and pets are welcome upon request.
